Following the election that shocked the world, the culture of "hyper-masculinity" is on the rise. Members of what was once a fringe movement on the Internet (the "manosphere," part of the "alt-right,") staged the greatest political upset in history, lionizing a return to strong-man leadership and rigid gender roles. This talk and discussion is for men of any sexual orientation who see themselves as "sensitive" (and all people who love sensitive men) and aims to answer this question: how can sensitive men and boys live in a world that is increasingly hostile and intolerant to sensitivity and perceived femininity in males? How can sensitive men counterbalance the rising culture of "toxic masculinity"? What unique contributions do "feminine" men have to offer in a world that says we should not exist? How can we support women, who are being attacked (even more virulently than men) by the same culture of hyper-masculinity?
